Text: The Way Out: A Revolutionary, Scientifically Proven Approach to Healing Chronic Pain

by Alan Gordon with Alon Ziv

Learn about neuroplasticity and how we can change our existing neural pathways to reduce or eliminate our symptoms.

I created this course because such a large part of my recovery came from truly understanding the brain science behind my condition. Once I understood that my brain was creating all of my symptoms and that there was nothing structurally wrong with my body, I could finally let go of the fear and hopelessness that had been with me for almost a year.

We will build community through our book club. We will share insights and learn from each other. I will answer questions and provide reassurance when those inevitable doubts try to interrupt your recovery. Each week I will share additional lessons that cannot be found in the book.

My recovery required me to learn this information from many sources and many messengers. I will share free resources with the group to help spread the vast information that is already available. This course is about getting out of bed and getting better, one book, one video and one lesson at a time. You can do it!

    • 5 live virtual group coaching sessions with Devon

    • 4 weeks of access to Devon by email to ask individual questions

    • Personalized Somatic Tracking audio file

    • Science-backed lessons not found in the book

    • Handouts and worksheets

  • You will need access to the book The Way Out, by Alan Gordon with Alon Ziv. It is available for purchase in several formats (book, e-book, audiobook, etc.) so choose what is most comfortable for you.

One week before each session, I will send out an email with:

    • Insight Questions for that week’s chapters

    • Attachments and links to guide you to free learning resources

    • The lesson topic for the next session

  • I will email a Google Meets link before each session. This is free and online.

Each session, we will do about 45 minutes of group coaching. This is a chance for you to share insights and ask questions.

For about 15 minutes at the end of each session, I will present new lessons that cannot be found in the book. These are all science-backed and will add to your overall understanding of how to recover.

  • Regular Price: $250 USD

One time only offer: $150 USD

If you think you would benefit from this program but are worried about the cost, please contact me about my sliding scale, my payment by installment options, and my scholarships. I am SURE that we can work something out.

Testimonials

“Meeting Devon through Raelan Agle’s Brain Retraining 101 course was a turning point in my recovery. In an early interaction I had with her she explained a concept I had been struggling to understand, and she did this so clearly, and with so much empathy, that it lead to me having an important realization about my recovery.

This is one the of the skills Devon has. Her extensive knowledge about the mind/body connection, paired with her ability to connect with people, allows her to explain ideas in a very clear way that allows you to reach a whole new level of understanding. I have had so many recovery insights the last few months that I wouldn’t have had without talking to Devon.

Devon has an ability to make everyone she talks to feel comfortable. With her humour, obvious love of people, and her ability to make herself vulnerable, I have loved being part of group calls Devon has facilitated. Along with the laughter, Devon also leaves lots of space for people to ask her for advice and questions. Her answers are always very helpful, and I think are now leading other people to have some of those recovery insights I have been gaining.

Because Devon has done more research on this topic than most people, she knows all the best resources. Devon has sent me so much helpful information that has lead to some very large improvements in my health.

I would recommend Devon to anyone who is trying to recover but feels stuck. Her unique combination of skills may well be the recovery piece you have been missing.”

“I met Devon after I had had Long COVID for two years. The first time we met in person I could barely walk a block to sit on the beach and talk with her. Devon shared her story with me and afterwards sent me a lot of information to get started on learning about how to recover.

This was the turning point for me when I began to get better.

I read everything she sent me, and I checked in with her about my learnings. She was so supportive and helped me to understand and gain insight. Recovering is not a linear path, and when I would have setbacks, Devon was always there to help me understand the science behind what was happening and shift my thinking to a mindset more productive for my recovery.

Less than a year later, Devon and I went on a hike to the top of the mountain, something I never could have done when I was sick. I am so grateful for Devon for sharing her knowledge, for being a compassionate listener, and for celebrating with me as I recovered. She truly cares and is passionate about helping people find their way back to health and a full life.”
